The seminarians have all begun their lectures this week at their respective Pontifical Universities and life begins to settle back into the routine of prayer, study, community time, and relaxation.

Six new men arrived in Rome on 24th August to begin their studies at the English College. This year’s new men hail from a variety of countries, with the Nordic presence at the VEC increasing dramatically.

On Sunday 14th July Bishop Alan Hopes of East Anglia ordained four English College seminarians to the order of Deacon. As has been the tradition for many years, the ordination took place in the Church of Our Lady of the Snows at Villa Palazzola, the summer residence of the Venerable English College.
